Ed Poll Named as Fellow of The College of Law Practice Management
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. September 12, 2006 – California-based law practice mangement expert, Edward Poll, was inducted as a Fellow of The College of Law Practice Management Saturday night during a special dinner and induction ceremony. The event was part of the organization’s 12th Annual Meeting held at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, Calif.
One of five inducted, Ed is a nationally recognized coach, law firm consultant, and author. Principal of LawBiz® Management Company, he advises law firms and their leaders on practice management, business development, and financial matters. Ed has practiced law for more than 25 years, was the chief executive officer and chief operating officer of several manufacturing businesses, and has been a consultant to small and large law firms for 15 years. Ed is also President of the Greater Los Angeles chapter of the National Speakers Association, recent chairperson, and current advisor to the Law Practice Management and Technology Section of the State Bar of California, and an active member of the American Bar Association.
Formed is 1994, The College of Law Practice Management is a nonprofit organization that honors and recognizes notable law practice management professionals, sets standards of achievement for others in the profession, and funds and assists with endeavors that enhance the highest quality of law practice management. The mission of The College of Law Practice Management is "to recognize, inspire, and promote excellence in law practice management by identifying and honoring extraordinary achievement, supporting activities that enhance the development of knowledge, facilitating information exchange among the Fellows, and acting as a catalyst for positive change within the legal profession. "To date, more than 200 practitioners have been inducted as Fellows of the College. The Fellows include administrators, lawyers, professors, consultants, marketing directors, and others who have made noteworthy contributions to the profession. From the U.S., Canada, and eight other countries, they are active in a wide range of professional organizations including the International Bar Association, the Association of Legal Administrators, the Legal Marketing Association, and the ABA Section of Law Practice Management.
